I am not gardening expert but love to have some flowers and fruits in the backyard.
You basically need some ground work done like: making the area clean, then add a planting bed and then add the weed protector sheet. Then add some garden/topsoil+fertilizer combination and you are done. You will be ready to plant on your own. Make sure you put creepers on edges or corners.
